Run OpenAI Ads inside ChatGPT
Sign up at ads.openai.com, connect your API key in Ads > OpenAI Ads, ask Buildy for a campaign in chat, and publish. OpenAI bills the ad spend.
OpenAI Ads show your business inside ChatGPT answers. Connect your OpenAI Ads account with an API key, ask Buildy for a campaign in chat, and publish. OpenAI bills the spend. You need a paid Buildy plan.
Steps
- Sign up to advertise at ads.openai.com and create an API key in your OpenAI Ads dashboard.
- Open Ads. In Ad network, choose OpenAI.
- Click Connect ad accounts (or Manage connections), then choose OpenAI Ads in the side panel. Paste the API key and click Connect.
- Optional: paste your Measurement pixel ID, click Save, then click Inject pixel so OpenAI can count visits and sales on your site.
- In chat, ask for the campaign: "Create an OpenAI Ads campaign for my meal-prep service with a $50 daily budget."
- Review the ads on the OpenAI Ads page and click Publish. Ads go live once OpenAI approves them.
Daily budgets run from 25 to 10,000 in your ad account's currency.
Use Manage connections and choose the platform to change its account or conversion tracking later. Close the panel to return to your campaigns.
Common problems
My business cannot advertise
OpenAI decides who can advertise. In Ads, click Connect ad accounts (or Manage connections), choose OpenAI Ads, then open Which businesses can advertise on OpenAI? to see the rules. Check your status in the OpenAI Ads dashboard. Buildy cannot change it.
The key does not work
Create a new key in your OpenAI Ads dashboard and paste it again.
