Add images, logos and files
Click Attach in the chat to add up to 5 images, PDFs, documents, audio or video files to a message. Buildy reads images, PDFs and text files.
Click Attach under the chat box and pick the files, then tell Buildy what to do with them. You can add up to 5 files to one message.
Steps
- Click Attach under the chat box. You can also drag files onto the chat or paste a screenshot.
- Pick your files. Each one shows as a small card above the message box.
- Type what to do: "Use the first image as the hero photo and the second as the logo."
- Send the message.
Everything you attach is also saved in Images & Video: images under Photos, videos under Videos, and other files under Files. To reuse a photo, hover over it in Photos and click Use in chat.

Buildy reads images, PDFs and text files, so you can attach a menu or a brochure and say "use the prices from this". Audio, video, SVG, Word and Excel files are stored and placed on your site, but Buildy does not read what is inside them.
Not supported: ZIP, PowerPoint, code files, fonts and app installers.
Videos on your site
For a video longer than a short clip, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo and give Buildy the link: "Embed this video on the About page." That keeps your site fast.
Common problems
"That file type isn't supported."
Convert the file to one of the formats above. For a PowerPoint, export it as PDF.
"Images must be under 15 MB."
Resize or compress the image first. Most phone photos shrink to under 2 MB without visible loss.
My logo looks blurry
Attach the largest version you have, ideally a PNG or SVG with a transparent background.
