Add AI features to your app

Ask Buildy to add a chatbot, AI writing, image creation or document reading to your own app. These features run on your Operating credits.

Your app can have its own AI features. Ask for them in chat, like any other feature. Buildy wires them up for you, and they run on your plan's Operating credits.

What you can add

Your AI Receptionist on your site, so visitors can chat or talk with it. Ask Buildy in chat: "Add a chat button to my site" or "Add a voice button to my site." Set up what it knows and says in AI Receptionist > Receptionist. See AI Receptionist.
AI writing inside your app: "Add a button that writes a product description from the fields on the form."
Image creation inside your app: "Let users describe a room and generate a design image."
Document reading: "Let users upload a PDF invoice and pull out the total and the date."
Smart replies: "When a booking request comes in, draft a reply email for me to approve."

Steps

In chat, describe the feature and where it lives: "On the Recipes page, add a box where visitors type ingredients and get three recipe ideas."
Try it in Preview.
Tune the result: "Keep the answers under 100 words and always suggest a wine pairing."
Click Publish & Share.

What it costs

Each time a visitor uses an AI feature, your project spends Operating credits. Your profile menu shows how many are left. A text answer costs very little. An image costs more. See Plans, credits & billing.

When Operating credits run out, AI features in your app stop until the monthly reset or an upgrade. Your site itself stays live.

Website voice calls with your AI Receptionist use Operating credits. You do not need a Business Phone Number. Voice usage is based on connected time and estimated service cost, currently about 250 Operating credits per minute. Partial minutes are charged proportionally. Telephone calls and texts still use your Business Phone Number balance.

Common problems

The AI gives wrong facts about my business

Give it the facts. Ask Buildy to "use only the information on the About and Services pages when answering" or paste the facts in chat.

Visitors can run up my credits

Ask Buildy to "limit the AI feature to 5 uses per visitor per day" or to require login first.
