Add forms and capture leads
Ask Buildy for a contact, booking or signup form. Everyone who fills it in appears in Contacts, and Buildy can email you each entry.
Ask Buildy for the form you need and it builds it, saves every entry in Contacts, and can email you when someone fills it in.
Steps
- In chat, describe the form and the fields: "Add a contact form to the Contact page with name, email, phone and message. Email me at hello@example.com when someone sends it."
- Check the form in Preview. Fill it in once yourself to test it.
- Open Contacts. Your test entry is there with the source "Website".
- Click Publish & Share to put the form live.
Forms Buildy can build
- Contact and quote request forms
- Newsletter and waitlist signups
- Booking and appointment requests with date and time
- Multi-step forms and quizzes
- Order and application forms with file upload
Say what should happen after someone submits: show a thank-you message, send them to another page, email you, or add them to a follow-up.
Where entries go
Every entry becomes a contact. Open Contacts to see them, filter by stage, add tags, export a CSV, or add people to a follow-up. See Contacts and Follow-ups.
Common problems
I did not get the email
Check your spam folder. Then ask Buildy: "Check that the contact form sends an email to hello@example.com." Sending email uses Operating credits, so also check that you have some left in your profile menu.
The form works in the preview but not on the live site
Publish again. The live site only updates when you click Publish & Share.
