Find your way around a project

Switch between Preview and Dashboard at the top. Keep Buildy beside your work or focus on one view.

On a computer, use Preview and Dashboard at the top left. Dashboard shows the grouped business tools and returns to your last section. Chat with Buildy on the right. Drag the grip between chat and the page to resize them. Drag near either outer edge and release to focus on one view. Click the grip for Chat only, Show both, or Preview only (Dashboard only when Dashboard is selected). In chat-only view, the grip stays at the left edge. When chat is hidden, click the Buildy tab halfway down the right edge to reopen it. Your draft and chosen split stay in place. Switching between Preview and Dashboard keeps chat at the same width, unless the page needs more room to stay readable.

On a phone, use Chat, Preview and Tools at the bottom. Tools opens the grouped menu. Choose a tool to close the menu and see its page. Publish stays visible at the top.

Take the project tour

Open Dashboard > Help > Help Center and select Take a tour. On a phone, open Tools > Help > Help Center. This button is available inside a project.

The seven-step tour shows chat and voice, Preview, your business tools, the full Home setup checklist, publishing, rewards and Help. Rewards points can become credits or Prize Tickets for a chance to win prizes. On a computer, the tour highlights the Preview and Dashboard selector before the business tools menu. Use Next, Back, or Skip tour. You can press Escape to exit. Replaying the tour returns you to the page and chat layout where you started.

Your first project asks Take a quick tour of your project? Choose Take tour to start or Skip for now to continue without it. Skipping saves your response, so the invitation does not appear again. You can start the tour later from Help.

See what's new

In project Help > Help Center, select See what's new for a separate tour of the updated layout and customer tools. It shows chat and voice, the business tools menu, Home's checklist, AI Receptionist, the shared Business Phone Number, Follow-ups and Business profile. On a computer, it highlights the Preview and Dashboard selector before the business tools menu. It also shows the chat layout grip. Your sequences are in AI Receptionist > Follow-ups. The Business Phone Number handles calls and texts; older voice-agent numbers can still exist.

Existing users may see See what's new in Buildy when they next open a project. Choose Take tour to start this update tour, or Not now. Accepting or dismissing the offer saves your response for this update. Both tours remain available in project Help and return you to your starting page and chat layout when you exit. On a computer, steps about a business page highlight its sidebar button and the page area at the same time.

The chat

  • Message Buildy is the message box. It starts as one row and grows as you type. Attachments appear above your text. Press Enter to send. Press Shift+Enter for a new line.
  • Attach adds images, PDFs and other files to a message. Up to 5 files at a time.
  • History beside the Buildy contact lists every saved version. Click Restore on one to go back.
  • Start voice call in the voice panel above the message box starts a live voice conversation. Talk naturally, and Buildy listens and speaks back to guide you. Paid plans only.

Each reply shows how many Building credits it used.

A status strip above the voice panel shows when Buildy is working, even after a reply ends. You can keep chatting while Buildy works. The strip closes when no work remains. If Buildy needs an answer or the connection drops, the strip tells you.

You can send a correction while Buildy works, such as "make the header blue". Buildy reads it before its next step and passes relevant changes to its helpers. It finishes the step already running first. Your message appears between the earlier reply and the continued reply. If Buildy is already giving its final answer, it handles your message next. Free preview repairs and ordinary requests run separately, so one waits while the other finishes.

Click the current work label below Buildy's picture to see what is running. Use Stop in the empty message box to stop the work. If you have a draft or attachments, clear them to show Stop again.

When Buildy hands work to teammates, a Your team is on it card under the reply shows each teammate and its latest step. Click Show actions for more detail. See Chat with Buildy.

Preview and settings

  • Preview, at the top left, shows your site as it looks right now, including changes you have not published yet. Use the page field in the center of its toolbar to choose a page. Refresh and desktop/mobile controls are on the left. Open preview and Edit are on the right.

Use Show checklist to reopen it. Foundation and checklist bonuses stay visible during unfinished setup. Open Explore Buildy below the checklist for tool shortcuts, including Market research. Business counts appear below that.
  • Setup holds Domain & Email and Site & App Settings.
  • Products holds Courses and Commission Machine when they are available for your project. These tools work as before.

In Ads, use the single compact account card's Connect ad accounts or Manage connections button to manage all platforms and their tracking settings. This card stays the same when you choose an Ad network to manage campaigns. In Social Media, select Needs review to approve, schedule or skip drafts. The sidebar badge shows how many drafts need review.

Open Blog for articles and SEO & AI Search for search visibility. Images & Video still has a Files section for documents and audio.

AI Receptionist has sections for the receptionist, Business profile, Business Phone Number and Follow-ups. Broadcasts are one-time messages. Automated follow-ups stay with the receptionist.

AI Agents (legacy) shows only when the project has an existing voice or text agent. Those agents keep working.

Other holds Help and Advanced.

Advanced

  • Click Advanced to open it. It holds Data Management, Backend Functions, Integrations and Developer.

Project and account controls

On a computer, these controls stay in the header in both Preview and Dashboard. Some buttons use icons to fit the space. Point at an icon to see its name. On a phone, rewards points, Help, Upgrade, your profile picture and Publish stay at the top. Tap the question-mark icon for Help. On narrow screens, tap the crown icon for Upgrade.

  • Upgrade opens plans and billing.
  • The coin balance opens your rewards. The phone header uses compact totals, such as 2.5K for 2,500 points. Open Rewards to see the exact total. The computer header also shows the exact total.
  • Publish & Share puts your latest changes on your live site. Nothing goes live until you click it.
  • Help in the header opens Help Center, Contact support and Your tickets. You can also use Dashboard > Help, or Tools > Help on a phone.
  • Share & Earn gives you a link to invite friends and earn credits. On a phone, use Share & Earn on your home page.
  • Your profile picture opens Profile Settings, your credits and Sign out.

On a computer, your project name appears at the top left. Click the back arrow beside it to return to your list of businesses. Point at the project name and click the pencil to rename it. To duplicate or delete a project, open its three-dot menu in the projects list. Use Collapse sidebar at the top right of the sidebar to make the menu smaller. Click Expand sidebar to see the full menu again. Click the Advanced arrow to show or hide its tools in the full or collapsed sidebar.

On a phone, open the navigation menu at the top left. Tap Projects to return to your businesses, or tap the pencil beside the project name to rename it. Duplicate and Delete are in each project card's three-dot menu in the projects list.

If your project has a Business Phone Number ready for incoming calls, this menu also has the Available or Unavailable phone button. Use it to choose whether you can answer calls in Buildy. On a computer, the phone button stays in the header.
