# Failed to publish project

A failed publish does not change your live site. Click **Publish** once more. If it fails again, use **Ask Buildy to fix it** on the card in the chat. If that does not solve it, contact support rather than trying again and again.

## Steps

1. Click **Publish & Share**, then **Publish**, one more time.
2. If it fails again, find the **Publish failed** card in the chat and click **Ask Buildy to fix it**. Buildy reads the error and tries to fix the cause, often a broken page from the last change.
3. Publish again.
4. If it still fails, open **Chat with support**. Send the project link. Do not keep clicking fix, it uses credits each time.

## Common causes

- The last change left a page with an error. Restore the previous checkpoint in [Checkpoint History](/docs/build/checkpoint-history) and publish.

## Other messages

- **"Your site is live, but this publish was not fully saved. Publish again to finish it."** Click **Publish** once more.
