# Publish your site and update the live version

Click **Publish & Share** at the top right, then **Publish**. Your site goes live in a few seconds. Changes you make later stay in the preview until you publish again.

The **Open preview in new tab** button opens a preview for your own viewing. Confirm with **Open preview**. To share your website with others, use the live link in **Publish & Share**.

## Steps

1. Check your site in **Preview**. Try it in mobile view too.
2. Click **Publish & Share** at the top right. On a phone, use **Publish** at the top right.
3. Under **Live Link** you see your free address, which ends in `.superdev.run`. If you connected a domain, your domain shows instead.
4. Click **Publish**. You see "Publishing Your Project", then "Your site is live!" the first time, or "Your latest changes are live." after that.
5. The first time, a share window opens. After later publishes, click **View site** or **Share** in the message that appears.

> Open the live site on your phone and try every form and button before you share the link.

## What else is in Publish & Share

- **Remix link** lets others copy your project. See [Copy a project with a Remix link](/docs/build/copy-a-project-with-remix-link).
- **Review security** asks Buildy to check who can read and change your data before you go live. Do this once before launch and after you add logins or payments.
- **Share on social** posts your link to X, LinkedIn, Facebook or Reddit.

## Common problems

### "Failed to publish project"

Click **Publish** again. If it still fails, find the **Publish failed** card in the chat and click **Ask Buildy to fix it**. A failed publish does not change your live site.

### "Your site is live, but this publish was not fully saved. Publish again to finish it."

Click **Publish** once more.
