# My changes do not show on the live site

Two things cause this. Either the change was not published yet, or your browser still shows an old copy. Publish first, then clear the old copy.

## Steps

1. Open your project and check **Preview**. If the change is not there, it was not saved. Ask Buildy again or restore the right checkpoint.
2. Click **Publish & Share**, then **Publish**. Wait for "Your latest changes are live."
3. Open the live site and reload without cache:
   - Windows: press Ctrl+Shift+R, or Ctrl+F5.
   - Mac: press Cmd+Shift+R.
   - Phone: open the link in a private or incognito tab.
4. Still old? Wait two minutes and reload again. Then try another device or network, like your phone on mobile data.

## Why this happens

Browsers keep a copy of pages they visited so they load faster. After you publish, your browser can show the old copy for a while. A private window never uses the old copy, so it shows the real live site.

If you turned on **Installable app** in Dashboard > Site & App Settings, the installed app also keeps copies. Close and reopen the app, or remove and reinstall it.

## Common problems

### Visitors see the old site but I see the new one

Their browsers have the old copy. It clears on its own within a short time. If it matters now, ask them to reload without cache.

### The preview is right, the live site is wrong, and I did publish

Publish once more. If "Your latest changes are live." appears and the site is still wrong after a private-window check, open **Chat with support** with the live link.

### My domain shows a different site than my superdev.run link

The domain is not finished connecting. See [Domain & Email](/docs/domains-email).
