# Post to LinkedIn from Buildy

Buildy posts to your personal LinkedIn profile. It cannot post to a company Page. Connect LinkedIn once in **Social Media**. LinkedIn ends the connection after 60 days, so expect to reconnect every two months.

## Steps

1. Open **Social Media** from **Dashboard**, or **Tools** on a phone.
2. Click **Connect accounts** or **Manage connections**, choose **LinkedIn** in the panel, then click **Connect LinkedIn**. Sign in and allow Buildy to post.
3. Click **New Post**, choose LinkedIn, a post type and a topic, then click **Continue** and **Start with Buildy**. Educational and Behind the Scenes posts work well on LinkedIn.
4. Open the draft and click **Publish to LinkedIn**, or **Schedule** for a later time.

## Good to know

- LinkedIn connections expire after 60 days. The account shows **Expires soon**, then **Expired**. Open **Manage connections**, choose **LinkedIn**, and click **Reconnect**. Scheduled posts need a valid connection at the time they go out.
- Ask in chat for longer posts: "Write a LinkedIn post about the lessons from our first year, about 200 words."

## Common problems

### "Expired"

Click **Reconnect**. It takes a few seconds.
