# Add more inboxes or a custom address

Your first inbox, `hello@`, is free. Add more addresses on the same domain, like `sales@` or `yourname@`, for $5.99 a month each. Each one gets its own login.

## Steps

1. Open **Domain & Email** from **Dashboard**, or **Tools** on a phone.
2. Open **Email inbox** and find **Additional Inboxes**. Click **Add inbox**.
3. Type the part before the `@`, for example `sales`.
4. Click **Purchase & Set up ($5.99/mo)** and confirm. The inbox renews monthly until you delete it.
5. Click **Open Inbox** or **Login Info** on the new row, like on your main inbox.

Each inbox has a **DNS details** dropdown. If records need attention, open it to see the required names and values. For external DNS, update the records at your provider, then select **Check again**. If Buildy cannot finish setup, contact support with **Copy troubleshooting details**. You do not need to buy the inbox again.

## Delete an inbox

Click the trash icon on the inbox row, then **Delete inbox**.

> [!WARNING]
> The inbox and all its email are deleted right away. You cannot undo this. You are not charged for it again after your current billing period. Buildy does not offer refunds.

The main `hello@` inbox cannot be deleted on its own. It is deleted only when you remove the domain, which also takes your site off that domain.

## Common problems

### I want hello@ to be a different name

The main inbox is always `hello@`. Add the address you want as an extra inbox. Or set **Default Sender Email Address** in **Email sending** to the name you want. Replies to emails sent from that address go to your `hello@` inbox.

### I want one inbox to receive several addresses

Forwarding and aliases are not in the app. Add each address as its own inbox.
