# Free trial and when you are charged

The free trial is the Pro plan for 10 days. You add your card when you start, and nothing is charged until day 10. If you cancel before then, you pay nothing.

## How it works

1. Start the trial on the plan page you see right after you sign up. Click **Start free trial** on the Pro plan. If you skipped that page, click **Start My Trial** on your home page.
2. Add your card. The page says "Add your card now, but pay nothing for 10 days."
3. Use what Pro includes: 500 Building credits, 20,000 Operating credits, voice mode, marketing and agents.
4. On day 10, your card is charged $99 for the first month of Pro, and the plan renews monthly.

**Billing & Upgrades** does not offer the trial. A plan you pick there is charged right away.

One trial per account. If you see "This account has already used its trial", choose a paid plan.

## Cancel the trial

Open **Billing & Upgrades** and click **Cancel Subscription**. A trial ends at once when you cancel. Your card is not charged. See [Cancel your plan](/docs/billing/cancel-your-plan).

## Upgrade during the trial

If you pick a bigger plan during the trial, you see "End your trial and upgrade?". Click **End trial and upgrade** to end the trial and pay for the new plan right away.

## Common problems

### I was charged after the trial

The trial ran its 10 days and the plan started. Open **Billing & Upgrades** to cancel future renewals.

### I cannot start the trial

The account has used a trial before. Choose a paid plan on **Billing & Upgrades**.
